OUR OBJECTIVES

  • 1. REMOVE BARRIERS TO EDUCATION & TRAINING

    We exist to help remove the socio-economic barriers that prevent children and young people from accessing high quality performing arts education.

    We will achieve this by funding the running of classes, workshops, courses and performing arts training.

  • 2. ENABLE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

    We seek to support children and young people to develop performance and communication skills.

    This will benefit their personal well-being and give them valuable transferable life skills; improving access to future training and career opportunities.

  • 3. SUPPORT WORKING FAMILIES

    We will provide a fully funded, safe, engaging school holiday experience for children and young people at a time when working families particularly struggle to access high quality childcare.

    This in turn will support the local community and wider economy.

  • 4. PROVIDE PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

    We will provide performance opportunities for children and young people to put into practise the skills they have been developing.

    By giving them the opportunity to perform publicly they will build confidence and experience a shared sense of success and achievement.

  • 5. SUPPORT QUALIFICATION ATTAINMENT

    We aim to open up pathways to the attainment of internationally recognised performing arts qualifications.

    By improving young people’s qualification portfolios and raising their UCAS points profiles we will improve their ability to access further and higher education.

  • 6. MENTOR GRADUATES INTO THEIR CAREERS

    We aim to bridge the gap between institution and workplace, where talent can easily slip through the net at the final hurdle.

    We will mentor graduates helping them to focus on building relationships, gaining representation, seeking valuable work experience and navigating the overwhelming journey into a highly competitive industry.

  • 7. BENEFIT COMMUNITIES

    We will produce performances within the community, for the community, fuelling the local creative and cultural ecology

    By increasing arts engagement for young people we expect to reduce anti-social behaviour and lower youth crime.

    We aim to support projects that will boost the local arts economy.

  • 8. SUPPORT THE CREATION OF THEATRE

    We aim to support the innovative and collaborative creation of theatre within communities, about communities, for communities.

    We will seek to source and access funding in order to remove barriers from the telling of stories that need to be told.

MEET THE DIRECTORS

Our Directors each personally benefitted from financial support toward accessing their performing arts training, leading to their successful careers.

With a desire to pay it forward, together, they established ARTS ACCESS ABILITY CIC in order to develop and improve access to the arts for individuals, graduates, practitioners and communities.
